GreenYellow, partner of the 30th edition of the Grand Raid

GreenYellow, one of the world leaders in decentralized solar energy production and energy efficiency, is delighted to be a partner of the 30th edition of the Grand Raid which will take place from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 October 2022 on the Reunion Island, via its subsidiary GreenYellow Océan Indien.

GreenYellow Océan Indien will be present at the finish, on October 21, at the Redoute stadium :

  • It will offer participants the chance to win a bicycle and a home trainer by trying to equal the power of a solar panel by pedaling a bicycle;
  • GreenYellow will also invite Reunionese street art artist Yann Le Gall who will produce a work entitled "Our energy for Reunion", from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A partnership as obvious for GreenYellow

For GreenYellow Indian Ocean, this partnership is an opportunity to share its values: self-transcendence, proximity and respect for nature.

Forging a partnership with the Grand Raid, as part of this 30th edition, seemed obvious to GreenYellow Indian Ocean and is part of the continuity of its involvement within the territories of the area. A way to invest beyond the solar photovoltaic, energy efficiency and electric mobility projects that it develops, implements and maintains on a daily basis, in order to support companies and local authorities in their energy transition.

For example, last June, the Reunionese teams of GreenYellow dedicated one of their working days to cleaning the surroundings of the last two obstacles of the Diagonale des Fous: the Chemin des Anglais and the Grand Brulé trail. Thus, more than 150 kilos of rubbish were collected on the Grande Chaloupe site and returned to the waste treatment circuit.

GreenYellow Indian Ocean is now experiencing strong growth and is multiplying projects alongside economic players in this area:

  • 100% of the projects submitted as winners in the latest CRE Calls for Tenders in Reunion;
  • A 14MWp ground farm being deployed in Mauritius, along with over 10MWp proposed under the MSDG Scheme;
  • The solarization of a new commercial complex with a power of nearly 1MWp in Mayotte;
  • The commissioning of the extension of the Ambatolampy power plant (40MWp) and 4 hybrid projects (6MWp) in Madagascar.
