These three hybrid power plants, the result of a collaboration between JIRAMA and the company Green Energy Solutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy and Hydrocarbons, will have a solar power of 4.7 MWp, from December 2021 and will integrate technologies energy storage within 1 year to allow an increase in solar installations.

The objectives are to reduce the production costs of JIRAMA but above all to eliminate the load shedding by providing reliable energy in these regions. Beyond the SAVA towns, the same project is taking shape in other localities such as Morondava, where a project with a capacity of 1.4 MWp integrates a 20kV 40km transmission line to Mahabo, interconnecting the two towns and allowing provide access to energy to the populations located along this new power line.

GES invested up to $ 16 million in these four projects in 2021. “GES is proud to collaborate with the Malagasy Government to deploy the energy solutions of tomorrow and drive sustainable and clean development. »Christian CACHAT, Managing Director of Green Energy Solutions.
